Surrounded by water are the Oosterlijke Eilanden (Eastern Islands) of Amsterdam, a place with a rich history and now a place full of hotspots and sights.
It is the place where you will find the Muziekgebouw aa het IJ, the Bimhuis and Het Scheepvaartmuseum. Fan of beer? Then visit the Brewery ‘t IJ.
Also nice is the street Czaar Peterstraat, where you can stop and eat at Instock and Spirit. For delicious dishes from different countries you walk along the Java Street, full of toko’s, kebab shops and other nice shops. For a piece of nature you walk to the Oosterpark, where you can walk quietly or have a picnic. This is also the place where you come across the Tropenmuseum, one of the most beautiful museum buildings in Amsterdam.
