Bos en Lommer
A place that is really up and coming in Amsterdam: BoLo, or Bos en Lommer. The arrival of night clubs and a great diversity of trendy hotspots has given this neighborhood a completely different image in recent years.
In Bos en Lommer you can visit De School, a former school building that has been transformed into a cultural center with, among other things, a club, concert hall and café.
The Baarsjes
South of the Bos en Lommer lies the multicultural district of the Baarsjes. This lovely neighbourhood has a wide range of hip concept stores, green parks, coffee shops and local bakeries.
Visit the always pleasant Jan Evertsenstraat in the Baarsjes, also known as “Jan Eef”. Here you can find enough great restaurants and cafes.
Oud-West
Oud-West borders, among others, the center of Amsterdam and the Vondelpark. It is a bustling neighborhood full of nice restaurants, shops and coffee shops.
In Oud-West you are at the right place for a culinary experience. Many hip Amsterdam restaurants are located here, with a lot of options for vegan visitors. For instance, check out Meatless District on the Bilderdijkstraat where the menu is 100% vegetable.
Westerpark
Amsterdam Westerpark is located adjacent to the Jordaan. The spacious city park is also seen as the neighborhood’s backyard and is a place where people gather for picnics, walks and festivals.
Nieuw-West
Hip hotspots, a vibrant nightlife and many creative projects, that is what you can expect in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. For example, visit Radion, a place where art, culture, music and dance come together.
In addition, you also have amazing nature reserves in Nieuw-West. From the Rembrandtpark to the Lange Bretten, there is plenty to discover.
